To be a member of TEAL, artists must be residents of the Willamette Valley in close enough proximity to our gallery to be able to work store shifts—an approximate 50-mile radius around Corvallis.

Our goal is to keep a balance of media in the gallery and to have enough members to fill a niche in the group. Each member is required to serve on a committee, attend annual meetings and work in the gallery during the 2-month selling season, no exceptions.

Jury Process

Applicants are asked to submit an artist’s statement and a bio, and at least 5 jpeg images representing the entire body of work they wish to sell at TEAL.

The image files need to be clearly labeled with a name and medium. At least one image should show how artwork would be displayed in the gallery. That can be a booth or store display photo. The images should demonstrate the artist's individuality, imagination and skill with the chosen medium.

Objects made from kits, molds or commercial plans are not accepted. All artwork must be created and manufactured by the artist. Only the style and type of artwork that is accepted by the jury can be displayed. 

Membership requirements

1. Be accepted by our jury panel.

2. Work six to eight 8-hour gallery shifts during selling season (November and December).

3. Participate on one committee: showroom, promotions or operations, for approximately four to five days during the year.

4. Pay a yearly deposit of $200 by July 1.

5. Become a member of the Board of Directors once every five years.

6. Attend annual meetings and gallery receptions.
